AltSchool leads the way with deeply personalised and happiness driven learning

"AltSchool is a collaborative community of micro-schools that uses outstanding teachers, deep research, and innovative tools to offer a personalized, whole child learning experience for the next generation."

AltSchool offers a unique approach to learning for young people. Their stand out appraoches include:

Personalised learning

Fostering the whole child

Rigorous Academics

Project based learning

Learning as a community

Exceptional Educators

Social-emotional Learning

Focusing on whole-child learning, AltSchool prioritises student happiness and success. Though there is tremendously uncertainty in what lies ahead for 2030, 2040 and 2050, AltSchool believes that a child that knows themselves and their own skill sets is going to be successful no matter what the future holds.

Every learning experience is a social-emotional learning experience as well for the students of Alt School, "It's in everything we do".

The educators aren't afraid to try new things or prototype new ways of learning. They are driven to do better work by the people and environment around them and are motivated to go beyond the norm. For example, educators at AltSchool approach subjects in different ways for different learners and are willing to make changes to how they teach on a daily basis, not just annually.

AltSchool has locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and is expanding to Chicago in the 2017-2018 school year.

"You are never too young to lead. You are never too young to do what it is you actually believe in. We keep saying that the future belongs to  the young; it only belongs to you if you take it. From what I have seen,

you young people are going to change the world; and you have to be that change that you want to see."

- Kofi Annan, Former Secretary General of The United Nations
