INTERACTIVE WORK EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
4Roles4Goals was created out of the necessity to showcase the variety of careers opportunities available to Young People to help them identify their character and social skills, whilst learning soft skills, which many employers feel are missing.
With the school focus on academic grades, we wish to fill the gap and show how a Young Person's academic skills and individual personality can merge and empower them to become an important part of a workplace.
Our work is to add value to all elements:
1 Young People
2 Schools / Education
Hence the '4Roles4Goals' name; each element has an individual goal that we are aiming to support to merge the silos!
To open up the mindset, so that Young People understand, they need to add value to the companies they work for and they need to fully appreciate how teams function. To this end, we are looking at various industries and the variety of opportunities and skill sets they require.
Our 4Roles4Goals initiative seeks to promote businesses by using their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to give Young People an experience of becoming part of a Junior Press Team for a showcase event, including football matches, British Super Bikes, Cricket Twenty20 and much more!
The Young People participating in recent events include students from Medway UTC, Crockenhill Primary School, Orchards Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy, Stationers' Crown Woods Academy (Eltham), The Maplesden Noakes School, Holy Trinity CoE Primary School, Dartford Grammar School and Rainham Marks Grammar School.
